Wiley Accounts Payable
Streamlined invoicing creates efficiency, transparency and opportunity.
“When it came to automating our accounts payable function, Neocol offered a vendor neutral and extremely cost effective solution. They offered great reassurance and support throughout the process, their customer service was extremely good and they always delivered on their promises.”
Andrew Richings, Financial Accounting Systems Manager, John Wiley & Sons
Wiley needed a rapid answer in order to cope with thousands more invoices across its new UK offices. Neocol’s solution streamlined invoicing, increased efficiency and offered valuable opportunities for financial analysis.
The Business Problem
When John Wiley and Sons became a global publishing firm in 2007 their existing manual accounts payable system had to expand to deal with 8,000 supplier invoices across multiple sites in a matter of months.
As trusted advisors to the IT department, Neocol were asked to develop a solution that would streamline invoicing and improve financial management.
Our Solution
Neocol recommended a combination of Basware, IBM Content Manager Kofax Ascent Capture and Xtrata Pro. This solution automated the time consuming manual invoicing system efficiently and successfully.
Project Successes
The transparent payments process has resulted in:
- Suppliers being paid on time
- Improvement in the company’s corporate credit rating
- Improved financial analysis
- Better credit terms with suppliers
- Cost savings attributed to finding, classifying and printing of documents
- Time savings and productivity gains for all 900 users
Another example of how Neocol can help organisations to release value from content and turn content management problems into new opportunities.
